This week’s Martin Minute … or so features Stephanie Moore of the Gold Point General Store. This is a busy eatery that has some really good food! Chase Connor has news about the proposed outdoor greenspace development. Now, for something new this week, we’re preparing some really great salsa! The recipe will be added below this post. We are looking for any suggestions and comments from you and what you would like to see in the program.
Super Salsa Recipe
- Fresh cilantro (small fist full)
- 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes
- Jalapeno pepper slices (10 to 12 slices + juice)
- ¼ sweet onion
- 1 tbs. sugar
- Food processor
Pour ½ can of the tomatoes into food processor and add in the cilantro, peppers, onion, and sugar.
Run the processor approximately 30 seconds or until everything is well blended and has a relatively fine texture.
Now add the last half of the tomatoes and pulse the processor a couple of times leaving some of the tomatoes a bit on the chunky side.
Try this with fresh chips. I prefer the ‘On The Border’ brand.

Snooze and Cruise is a newly renovated property currently offering two modern one bedroom suites. We are still growing and will evenutally offer 2 more suites and a classic car experience. Our theme is the evolution of horsepower, starting with the Model T Suite and progressing through the Hot Rod, Muscle Car and Tesla Suites. Each unit is approximately 800 square feet and offer all new modern amenities.
The Hot Rod Suite takes you back to the days of diners, drive-ins and souped-up cars drag racing on the back roads. Turquoise cabinets and mid-century modern furniture highlight the all new remodel. It is a downstairs unit and is easily accessible but does have a raised bathroom floor.
The Model T Suite is an upstairs unit. It is very warm, comfy and has everything you need to make yourself at home. It is decorated wth family heirlooms and antique car pieces. Owners live adjacently and may offer a tour of Jimmie’s classic car collection or a ride to dinner.
