This week’s Martin Minute … or so features Stephanie Moore of the Gold Point General Store. This is a busy eatery that has some really good food! Chase Connor has news about the proposed outdoor greenspace development. Now, for something new this week, we’re preparing some really great salsa! The recipe will be added below this post. We are looking for any suggestions and comments from you and what you would like to see in the program.
Super Salsa Recipe
- Fresh cilantro (small fist full)
- 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes
- Jalapeno pepper slices (10 to 12 slices + juice)
- ¼ sweet onion
- 1 tbs. sugar
- Food processor
Pour ½ can of the tomatoes into food processor and add in the cilantro, peppers, onion, and sugar.
Run the processor approximately 30 seconds or until everything is well blended and has a relatively fine texture.
Now add the last half of the tomatoes and pulse the processor a couple of times leaving some of the tomatoes a bit on the chunky side.
Try this with fresh chips. I prefer the ‘On The Border’ brand.
